with only four of 14 rounds complete, the Harley- Davidson Road Glides still have plenty of time to change the game.
Hayden Gillim joined the Indian factory team after the company signed a multiyear deal to combine racing efforts with Vance & Hines. Gillim won the 2023 championship on the Vance & Hines team aboard a Harley- Davidson, and he’ s showing that he can perform just as well, if not better, on the Indian Challenger.
The Daytona double- header started with the # 1- plated Harley Road Glide of Kyle Wyman leading the first lap, but Hayden Gillim overtook him leading into the second lap and held on.
Throughout the first race, Wyman and Herfoss exchanged 2nd place numerous times, with Herfoss holding 2nd at the finish ahead of Wyman and Harley rider Bradley Smith.
Race 2 started with Gillim once again in the lead ahead of Herfoss and Wyman. However, with two laps to go, Gillim ran into a problem with his Challenger and had to pull off, unable to continue the race. With Gillim off the field, Herfoss took the lead, and it seemed sure Wyman would snag 2nd before Indian factory rider Rocco Landers swept past him in the final lap, inching his way to 2nd.

The Road Atlanta double- header saw Gillim back in action, winning both main events, setting a new lap record, and winning the Mission King Of The Baggers Challenge. Gillim and Herfoss exchanged the lead throughout the first race, while Wyman crashed out in the first lap. In the end, Gillim held onto the lead, with Herfoss right on his tail and Harley rider Bradley Smith claiming 3rd more than 2 seconds back.
Race 2 at Road Atlanta made KOTB history with a full- Indian podium. Gillim held a comfortable lead to the checkered flag with teammate Landers following behind. Smith held 3rd for much of the race before Herfoss worked his way past him and secured the spot.
After four rounds, Gillim leads the standings with 82 points, followed by Herfoss with 81 points and Smith with 55 points. The series continues at Road America in Wisconsin, May 29- 31.
