AMERICAN FLAT TRACK The 2026 AFT series is off to a sensational start with Super- Twins rookie Kody Kopp leading his Harley- Davidson XG750R to the top of the leaderboard. He made history by becoming the first rookie to win his inaugural SuperTwins race. Estenson Racing’ s Dallas Daniels, the 2025 champ who rides a Yamaha MT- 07, won’ t let the season go without a fight and continues to put pressure on Kopp.

Kopp’ s dominance in the SuperTwins class was evident before the first Main Event at the season- opening doubleheader in Daytona. He posted the fastest time in qualifying, won his heat race, and won the four- lap dash- for- cash Mission Challenge. In the first race, Daniels was catching up quickly to Kopp before Trent Lowe( Honda CB750 Hornet) crashed, allowing Kopp to hold the lead and finish 0.150 second ahead of Daniels. Henry Wiles( Kawasaki Ninja 650) finished 3rd.

The second race at Daytona was a Mission Triple Challenge, a format introduced last year that includes a 10- lap sprint, a 15- lap race for double points, and a 20- lap race for triple points. The highest total points determine the winner of the event. After a red- flag restart, Davis Fisher( KTM 790 Duke) claimed the 10- lap sprint ahead of Daniels and Aidan RooseEvans( Harley- Davidson XG750R). Kopp turned on the heat for the 15- lapper, holding 1st without competition, while Lowe snagged 2nd and Fisher finished 3rd. The 20- lap race saw Kopp once again hold the lead, with Daniels finishing 2nd and Fisher in 3rd. After the points were tallied, Kopp’ s 5- 1- 1 performance earned him the win, followed by Daniels’ 2- 4- 2 and Fisher’ s 1- 3- 3.

The Atlanta Short Track saw a shake- up as Daniels put his head down and claimed his first victory at Senoia,

Georgia, with a comfortable lead, although the Harleys of Briar Bauman, Kopp, and Brandon Robinson put pressure on him in the beginning. Kopp maintained a strong performance to earn 2nd, while Bauman secured 3rd.

Briar Bauman found his time to shine during the Ventura Short Track, earning his third straight victory at the California venue. From the start, Bauman raced away from the rest of the field. Kopp kept Bauman within sight but couldn’ t close the gap, finishing 2nd. Daniels squeaked past Fisher to finish 3rd after a mechanical issue with Fisher’ s KTM.

As of this writing, rookie Kopp leads the standings with 84 points after two wins and two runners- up. Daniels is in 2nd place with 77 points, followed by Bauman with 62. Next up is the Silver Dollar Short Track in Chico, California, on May 2.
