Customers at Young Powersports XL can take a break at Daily Rise, a coffee shop located inside of the dealership. that spans northern Utah and southern Idaho. Opened in August 2023, Young XL has a 67,000− square- foot showroom and service space. It carries machines from 13 manufacturers and has an adjacent
17,500− square- foot Honda powersports location right across the street.
But Young XL prides itself on being more than Utah’ s largest powersports dealership; rather, it’ s more about creating and building long- term relationships both with customers and the community.
Located in Centerville, Utah, the massive powersports superstore almost feels like three dealerships in one. Well, that’ s because it is. Young Powersports consolidated three Centerville- area stores into a newly constructed mega- dealership. The decision to merge the three stores stemmed from wanting to create a better customer experience.
Several of the area locations encountered situations where shoppers wanted to compare similar products from different brands. Unfortunately, not all brands were under the same roof, resulting in customers continually going back and forth between dealerships to weigh their options.
“ We were constantly sending customers to our other locations to compare products,” says Nate Gailey, general manager of Young XL.“ We wanted our customers to be able to make comparisons in a one- stop shop, so the idea was to merge those three stores into one place and combine all those brands to create a unique experience for the customer.”
Now with three stores in one, the new purpose- built location lets customers easily compare products from 13 different brands. Gailey says the store is laid out in such a way that every OEM has its own designated section, running north to south through the store, with parts and services in the center. This helps customers navigate the showroom and make comparisons easier.
