JOHN MASCARO’ S PHOTO QUIZ
ANSWER
From page 17
The myriad of lines on this municipal multipurpose field were not painted for a special event; they are actually an attempt to paint a football field by a“ newer” employee. The person first measured the outside dimensions of the field properly and painted the outline of the field. From there, it seems to have all gone wrong as the employee decided to just“ walk off” the remainder of the field for the five-yard lines. Once he viewed the painted field, he decided it was not correct and tried to fix it. This photo shows the final version. Luckily, it was painted for a practice and not an actual game. After getting a good laugh over the painting attempt, the employee also learned a valuable lesson about measuring a field before painting. Despite being off measurement, you have to admit that the lines are pretty straight.
