Racing legend Dylan Ferrandis announces retirement

Racing legend Dylan Ferrandis announced he will retire from professional racing following the 2026 season, bringing an accomplished Motocross and Supercross career to a close.
The 2026 season was especially significant for the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing Team, which made the retirement announcement on Sept. 23. It was its first year competing in Supercross and Pro Motocross. It would also mark the final season of Ferrandis’ professional racing career.
Ferrandis competed in Supercross and Motocross from 2017 to 2026 and was on the winning French team at the 2014 and 2018 Motocross des Nations. He’ s a former 250 Supercross Champion and 450 Motocross Champion, and his accomplishments, professionalism, and experience proved invaluable to Ducati’ s first full U. S. premier-class racing campaign.
“[ This ] will be my last race as a professional racer, and I will retire from the sport,” says Ferrandis.“ I have

been riding dirt bikes since I was three years old, all around the world, and this life has been exactly what I wanted. It’ s been a great year with the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Ducati Factory Racing Team, and we will try to finish the season on a high note and enjoy these last few moments of racing.”
This season, as the team’ s lone racer due to injury, Ferrandis secured Ducati’ s first top−10 result, followed by its first top-five finish, before delivering the program’ s best overall result of the season at Hangtown, where he went 4−6 for fourth overall. The fourth-place overall finish was also his best result of the 2026 season, while his fourth-place Moto 1 finish at Hangtown marked his best individual moto result of the year.
Ferrandis finished the Supercross championship 11th in points and the Pro Motocross championship seventh, and earned a spot in the SMX Playoffs, as the fourth seed. He has recorded 20 top−10 finishes this year.

Triumph takes home its first-ever MX2 World Championship

It didn’ t take long before Triumph Motorcycles reached the pinnacle of MX2 racing, after its TF 250−X made a historic first-place finish in the 2026 FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship.
Just three years after launching the TF 250−X and entering motocross for the first time, rider Guillem Farres took Triumph to victory, with teammate Camden
McLellan finishing second. The MX2 class has a rider age restriction of 15 to 23 years old, and can only include two-stroke engines from 100cc up to 125cc, or fourstroke motors from 175cc up to 250cc.
The Triumph duo of Farres and McLellan achieved 21 moto wins and 26 podium finishes, including eight double podiums and four 1−2 finishes, aboard the Triumph TF 250−X. As a result, the Triumph Factory Racing team has secured Triumph’ s place as FIM MX2 Motocross Manufacturers World Champion.
“ To win Triumph’ s first FIM World Championship title just three years after entering motocross is a proud and historic moment for everyone involved in the project,” says Nick Bloor, CEO, Triumph Motorcycles
