Kawasaki updates Jet Ski STX 160 range, adds ST 160

Kawasaki has refreshed its popular Jet Ski STX 160 and Jet Ski ST 160 series for 2026, delivering upgraded technology, performance enhancements, and bolder styling for riders seeking comfort and control on the water.

All models in the 2026 lineup are powered by Kawasaki’s Ninja-derived 1,498cc inline-four engine, producing 160 horsepower with smooth, responsive delivery and excellent fuel efficiency. New for 2026, an electric trim-control system enables riders to adjust the hull angle for varying conditions, while Kawasaki Smart Reverse with Deceleration and Reverse Assist enhance maneuverability around docks and trailers.

The Jet Ski STX 160 models now feature a 7-inch full-color TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, multiple viewing modes, and smartphone integration. Riders can access infotainment functions, waypoint navigation, and notifications directly on the screen.

New styling, comfort upgrades

For 2026, the STX 160 series adopts design cues from Kawasaki’s premium Ultra 310 and Ultra 160 models, featuring a sleeker front hatch, modern trim, and LED accent lighting on select trims. The new bodywork emphasizes aerodynamics and splash control, while the ergonomic seating position has been raised for improved comfort and visibility.

The top-tier Jet Ski STX 160LX features an integrated Jetsound audio system, a rearview camera, and an extended rear deck with a multi-mount system for accessories. The STX 160X receives a taller front seat, non-slip deck mats, and expanded central storage.

Additional highlights across the lineup include adjustable electronic cruise control, Power Mode selection, enhanced splash protection, and built-in side cleats for easier docking.

Hull & Handling

The familiar STX hull carries over with its deep-V design for stable, predictable handling. Constructed from lightweight fiber reinforced plastic, it combines agility with durability. The Triple Kawasaki Splash Deflector minimizes spray, while injection-molded sponsons and side bumper fins improve cornering grip and stability.

New ST 160

Kawasaki is also introducing the Jet Ski ST 160, a new model that shares the same 1,498cc powerplant and hull as the STX series, but at a more accessible price point. With a lighter deck design, new pop-style graphics, and simplified controls, the ST 160 is aimed at riders seeking fun and performance in a value-focused package.
