SportsField Management ( SFM ): What are you most proud of with this win , and / or what do you think stands out most about the winning field ? Drew Miller : This Field of the Year truly was one where our students met the standard of being the best . I got to see my students be so driven to produce the best playing surface possible for our student-athletes . To see my student ’ s creativity come alive on that field while perfecting their craft is why this honor truly means the world , because this group of students was some of the most deserving students I have ever taught . There are so many different times when students were faced with new challenges throughout the season that they were able to create the solutions without my guidance , which has shown how our program truly is developing the next generation of sports field managers .
