SUSPENSION The new model also features a new suspension package that offers piggyback adjustable shocks , high / low speed compression and preload adjusters , optimized anti-sway bars , and competitive wheel travel and ground clearance . The unit includes 13.3−inches of front wheel travel and 15.5−inches of rear wheel travel .

WHEEL AND TIRE PACKAGE Biolsi was glad to mention the return of the Bighorn tire package after feedback from customers clearly addressed a demand for this feature . The 28−inch Maxxis Bighorn tires are mounted on tuning-fork inspired aluminum wheels in a “ square ” setup , also providing those needed durable sidewalls .

INTERIOR The new Wolverine includes an RMAX 1000−inspired interior with soft touch points incorporated throughout the unit . The LED interior lights also offered a nice touch . And , as a 5 ’ 2 ” driver , the level of visibility was especially appreciated . The machine has a sloped hood and a low shoulder and dash height which fueled my confidence as I chose my lines through the North Carolina trails carefully .

We also noted the inclusion of a storage area below the dash , and the center console storage , both of which were perfect for our phone , water bottle and snacks .

10-YEAR BELT WARRANTY The Wolverine X2 1000 offers 2WD , 4WD limited slip , and 4WD full differential lock at the turn of a dial . And the company continues to stand by its confidence in the Ultramatic automatic transmission , which is backed by the Yamaha 10−Year Belt Warranty .

DUMP BED Biolsi explained that customers did not want to compromise the 600−pound capacity dump bed , so this feature is included on the new unit , making an ideal model for a customer with diverse needs . The X2 1000 is great for customers who want to speed up morning jobs on the farm so they can hit the trails that afternoon in the same UTV . The Wolverine X2 1000 also offers a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds .

X-TR VS . R-SPEC The two Wolverine X2 1000 models include the R-Spec and the X-TR . The R-Spec has an MSRP listed at $ 17,999 . The unit is available in White and Armor Gray , and includes front overfenders , a suntop and a center mount mirror .

The X-TR MSRP is listed at $ 19,999 and the model includes painted bodywork available in Titan and Tactical Black . Key features include a suntop , center mount rearview mirror , a WARN VRX4500 winch , front and rear overfenders and LED interior lighting .

The Wolverine X2 1000 includes an RMAX 1000-inspired interior with LED lighting .

Yamaha has met the demand of customers looking for a model that offers more than the Wolverine X2 850 but is not as costly as the RMAX2 1000 with the Wolverine X2 1000 .
