Twenty-five years ago , two guys from Minnesota were sitting in a restaurant ( bar ) coming up with ideas for the next issue of Powersports Business . Those two guys were also publisher-types and not exactly artists , as they proceeded to doodle out the idea for a new product showcase on a napkin . They called it Nifty 50 , the award with the funny-sounding name has outlasted many staffers and is now thriving well into the 21st century . We think it needs to last for another 25 years , at least , for an extra special celebration .
