In putting together the New Products Guide highlighting the beverage alcohol launches of 2024 , we took a look back at some of the inclusions in the supplement five years ago . It turns out that 2019 had several significant introductions to the industry .

For instance , Dos Hombres , the mezcal brand founded by Breaking Bad actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul , made its debut in 2019 . So did Legent bourbon , a collaboration between whiskey legends Fred Noe of Beam and Suntory ’ s Shinji Fukuyo .

Ten to One , a Caribbean rum founded by Marc Farrell , came out the same year . Vodka giant Smirnoff unveiled its Zero Sugar Infusions line in 2019 as well .

On the beer front , Harpoon Brewery rolled out its Rec . League pale ale nationally , while wine launches that year include the Invivo X , SJP wines , a partnership involving actress and entrepreneur Sarah Jessica Parker . Iichiko Saiten , a full-flavored expression of shochu that works well in cocktails , is another 2019 product launch .

Kicking off the no-spirit spirits boom , Ritual Zero Proof hit the market in 2019 and was acquired by Diageo in 2024 . Perhaps the most significant product to hit shelves that year was High Noon hard seltzer . The Spirit of Gallo brand is now by far the largest ready-to-drink beverage , exceeding 23.3 million cases in 2023 .

California winemaker Josh Cellars has emerged as one of the top sellers of Italian sparkling in the U . S ., thanks to the success of Josh Prosecco . Launched in 2019 , the bubbly has more than doubled its case sales in the past few years . Josh Cellars , owned by Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits , released a rosé prosecco in late 2019 , and unveiled a non-alcoholic sparkling selection in January 2025 .
