BEYOND EXPECTATIONS

We had long heard about Northern Maine ’ s long seasons , plentiful snow , great trails and friendly hospitality . But even after all of that hype , our trip to Aroostook County still exceeded our preconceived notions of this snowmobiling paradise .

COWBOY STATE ADVENTURES

Any ride in snowy and scenic Alpine , Wyoming , is likely to be a worthwhile endeavor , but riding here with some of the most famous backcountry riders the sport has ever known made this trip particularly memorable .

MICHIGAN ’ S HURON MOUNTAINS

Michigan ’ s Upper Peninsula offers seemingly endless rural snowmobiling opportunities , but we were seeking an even more remote experience . So , we drove east of the famous Keweenaw Peninsula to explore the Huron Mountains that occupy a chunk of land jutting out into Superior east of L ’ Anse Bay .
