BEWITCHING DRINKS FOR ALL HALLOWS’ EVE

Halloween parties are the best, whether you dress in costume or not. (Note: You should always dress up for a costume party!) A surefire way to bring on the fun is offering a festive cocktail. Here are just a few of the recipes we like for this year.

GHOULS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN

1 oz . Prairie Organic vodka ½ cup Organic blackberries 1 oz . Blood orange simple syrup Seltzer water , to top

In bottom of glass, muddle half of blackberries together with the simple syrup. Add ice, vodka and top off with seltzer water to taste. Garnish with remaining blackberries.

JACK ’ S ELIXIR

1 ½ oz . Casa Dragones blanco tequila 1 oz . Aperol 1 oz . Fresh grapefruit 1 oz . Fresh pineapple ½ oz . Fresh lime ¼ oz . Agave

Rim glass with black sugar and add ice. Add ingredients to mixing glass and shake. Pour over fresh ice. Add a spooky garnish of choice.

THE BLOOD MOON

¾ oz . Basil Hayden Bourbon 1 oz . Château Élan cabernet sauvignon ½ oz . Vermouth 2 dashes Orange bitters

½ oz . Pomegranate juice Blood rim ( honey + red food coloring ) and skewered blackberries for garnish

Prepare the blood rim by mixing honey with red food coloring and applying it to the edge of a chilled glass. Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice and stir gently until well chilled. Strain into the prepared glass and garnish with skewered blackberries.

GHOULS NIGHT OUT HIGHBALL

1 ½ oz . Hibiki Japanese whiskey ½ oz . Spiced pear liqueur Top with ginger beer Dash of Angostura bitters

Pour whiskey and pear liqueur into a tall glass with filled with ice. Add a dash of Angostura bitters and top with ginger beer. Garnish with a ghost marshmallow.

THE CONJUROR

2 oz . Bourbon ½ oz . Agave syrup ½ oz . Maraschino liqueur 1 oz . Lemon juice 1 tsp . Cherry syrup

Black powdered coloring

Combine ingredients and shake. Pour over dry ice for a smoky look. Garnish with a black cherry or rosemary.

BLACK FRIDAY

2 parts Reyka vodka 1 ½ parts Lemon 1 part Simple syrup Top with Lemon lime soda 1 Activated charcoal capsule

Remove charcoal from the capsule and combine all ingredients into a cocktail shaker except soda. Shake and strain into a Collins glass. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

BAD WITCH

2 oz . Kraken Gold spiced rum ½ oz . Agave nectar 1 tbsp . Cream of coconut 1 tsp . Matcha powder 2 oz . Soda water

Combine all ingredients in a glass. Top with soda water and serve over ice.
