SUSTAINABILITY PRODUCTS
By Krystina Skibo
For decades, the marine industry has been defined by the pursuit of power, performance and the freedom of the open water. Today, that pursuit is being redefined. From the drawing boards of global manufacturers to the showroom floors of the Top 100 dealers, the push for a cleaner wake is reshaping every facet of our business.
We wanted to highlight specific cutting-edge products and technologies that are leading this transformation. This year’ s focus isn’ t just on“ going green;” it’ s about the tangible advancements in electric propulsion systems that offer silent, torque-heavy performance without sacrificing the range that customers demand.
Here are some top sustainable marine products that recently made their debut:
The AEW24
The Voltaic Marine AEW24, unveiled at CES 2026, is a 24-foot, all-aluminum electric wake boat featuring a massive 300 kWh battery, designed to provide up to 8 hours of high-performance watersports, including wake surfing, on a single charge. It delivers up to 570 hp( 425 kW) and features advanced, customizable software-defined controls for precise, on-demand wake shaping. It offers a top speed of 40 mph and a cruising speed of 25 mph, with 1900 ft-lb of torque. The battery is able to reach 80 % in approximately three hours.
The E100 Electric Propulsion Battery
Back in February, ePropulsion Americas debuted the newest addition to its E-Series batteries: the E100. Joining the E60 and E163, the ePropulsion E100 battery is engineered around advanced Lithium Iron Phosphate chemistry. With a substantial capacity of 5,120 watt-hours, the new 48V battery stands at just 9.5-inches( 240mm) high. The E100 is optimized to extend operational range, even for 6 kW systems running at full output. Up to 16 batteries can be connected in parallel to increase overall capacity, and a simple series connection of two units enables a 96V configuration, unlocking rapid charging in under two hours.
EcoCruise™
AI camera system LOOKOUT recently launched EcoCruise™, a first-ofits-kind, real-time fuel optimization feature for recreational powerboats. A perfect way to save on fuel, EcoCruise gives boaters a clear, visual target for where to run their throttle to stop burning gas. Every planing hull has a narrow efficiency sweet spot ― a speed / RPM window where gallons-per-mile reaches its minimum, and EcoCruise can help boaters find that sweet spot.
