Although it ’ s not an odd topic to cover and there is some actionable advice shared , what is odd is that the article is not attributed to a specific author , does not utilize advice from medical or clinical professionals , and opts for unnamed sources for comment . In addition , the first page and a half of the article shares multiple stories of unnamed industry professionals and their struggles with substance abuse , only to later reveal that these stories are all works of fiction by the author .
Hopefully , the article helped someone with their issues , but it just further highlights how strange the 1990 issues of the magazine were and how challenging they are to sum up .
But perhaps that is the lesson learned ; as , without the strong partnership between the magazine and STMA , the content clearly suffered and skewed heavily to profiles of golf courses .
