back to natural grass in 2019 . We put together the best plan possible ; talked with the other SEC turf managers who hosted concerts and golf events in their stadiums ; made a contingency plan with our sod producer , Winstead Turf Farms ; and got our administration on board . The flooring provided to cover the field for the show did its job , so we had no issues with the grade of the field being disturbed . We brought in a local engineering firm to conduct a survey to verify that the integrity had stayed intact . Once the flooring was removed , we were diligent with our cultural practices ; we started sprigging and made sure we had a fertility plan place .
SFM : How has your career benefited from being a member of SFMA ? Foor : I became an SFMA ( then STMA ) member as a student when I was in college . I loved getting the publication and reading about what was going on in the industry , the wealth of information contained in each issue , and seeing FOY fields and their managers featured . My favorite thing about being an SFMA member is the camaraderie this association brings at the state and national levels . I always look forward to the SFMA Conference , and I enjoy the education , networking , meeting new people and seeing familiar faces . SFM
