This panel discussion will provide an inside look at the preparation and operational demands faced by facilities participating in the upcoming FIFA World Cup. Panelists will begin by sharing when planning conversations first began at their venues and their initial reactions upon learning they would host FIFA activities. The discussion will explore key timelines, major preparation milestones, and the varying levels of work required among facilities. Topics will include training facility and base-camp design, operational adjustments such as equipment updates, and behind-the-scenes challenges encountered along the way. Panelists will offer insight into collaboration with FIFA officials, city partners, and organizing committees, as well as provide visual progress updates from their sites. The session will highlight practical lessons and best practices applicable to all sports field managers, followed by a look at post-FIFA recovery plans and how each facility will transition back to regular operations.
