ATTENTION : If ordering , make sure to get the Tempest Snowmobile goggles and not something from the ski / snowboard collection without the nose piece .
CUSTOMIZE : Tempest now has 15 outer lens options , with various colors , mirror finishes , oversized shapes and more . And each very securely snaps in place with magnets .
VALUE : They may sound pricey , but the Tempest setup eliminates the need to own multiple goggle frames or to carry a bunch of spares .

Because the Tempest goggle only used its battery when it turns itself on – and only turns itself on when it is truly needed – it had an incredibly long battery life . In most trail riding situations , we ’ d charged the goggle every second day and they were always at the ready . One very strenuous , damp mountain riding day , we did see the battery life indicator drop from a rating of 4 to 1 on the LED indicator , but those were extra-challenging , sweaty and moist conditions .
The only drawback we identified was that the thickness of the foam that touches the rider ’ s face still felt a little subpar . This just in : Tempest updated its foam thickness for 2024- 25 with its newer Snowmobile Infinity model .
Also new , Tempest has a wider array of magnetic outer lenses , allowing the rider all sorts of options for a custom look or when adapting to changing light conditions .
Overall , we came away from our experience with the Tempest goggles very impressed . From our perspective , it appears to be the best option yet for folks who regularly fog their goggles .
