Latest Polaris T . R . A . I . L . S . Grants Announced
Despite the tough times being experienced in the powersports markets right now , it was great to see Polaris announce another round of grants to support snowmobile and ATV / off-road clubs and organizations .
The nearly $ 85,000 announced on November 21 is in addition to the $ 130,000 in grants announced by Polaris in April . Total giving to grass roots organizations since Polaris launched the T . R . A . I . L . S . grant program in 2006
now tops $ 3.5 million .
This round of grants was awarded to 10 clubs and associations , including two each in Wisconsin and Vermont plus one each in California , Colorado , Minnesota , Maine , New Brunswick and Tennessee .
Snowmobile-related examples from this batch include money for the Kettle Moraine Snowmobile Club in Wisconsin to help re-route a trail around a wetlands ; support for the Vermont-based Mad River Ridge Runners Snowmobile Club in their efforts to replace a bridge damaged by flooding ; and support for the North Routt Snow Riders in Colorado for grooming and maintenance efforts .
As always , we salute the efforts of the manufacturers to support the clubs who make the sport possible .
⊳ A special shout out to Michigan ’ s David Low for proving that , for some folks , age truly is just a number . The 2022 inductee into the International Snowmobile Hall of Fame was out doing his part clearing trails this past fall at the spry young age of 97 . If David can make such efforts so our sport ’ s trails , what ’ s your excuse for not helping out ?
