KTM IS ON A ROLL , adding new and upgraded bikes to the list of returning favorites and making for a diverse 2024 lineup .

Last seen in the U . S . in 2013 with the 990 Supermoto T , KTM has reintroduced the SMT line with the new 890 SMT , which blends the rowdy playfulness of a supermoto with the practicality of a sport- tourer . The 890 SMT packs the same 889cc LC8c parallel- Twin with DOHC and dual balancer shafts that powers the 890 Adventure / R . It has throttle- by- wire , a 6- speed gearbox , a PASC slip / assist clutch , three ride modes ( Sport , Street , and Rain ), lean- sensitive traction control , and cornering ABS with Supermoto mode .

The 890 SMT has a chromoly trellis frame with sporty geometry , adjustable WP Apex suspension with 7.1 inches of travel , and 17- inch wheels shod with Michelin PowerGP tires . It also has a 5- inch TFT display , a comfortable two- up seat ( 33.8- inch rider height ), a 4.1- gallon lowslung fuel tank , and a curb weight of 428 lb .

In addition to the 990 Duke announced earlier , KTM continues to celebrate “ 30 Years of Duke ” with updates to other models in its Naked lineup . The 790 Duke returned to the lineup last year , and it ’ s unchanged for 2024 . Replacing the 1290 Super Duke R Evo , aka “ The Beast ,” is the 1390 Super Duke

890 SMT

R Evo . Bored cylinders in its LC8 V- Twin bump displacement up from 1,301cc to 1,350cc . The engine has new throttle bodies , a new camshaft , and a redesigned airbox , and the gearbox features new ratios for 5th and 6th gears .

The 1390 also receives revised ergonomics and the latest generation of WP ’ s semi- active suspension , which adjusts damping in real time and offers five damping modes . The optional Suspension Pro pack adds additional modes and

settings , including Anti- Dive and Factory Start , which automatically reduces shock preload to lower the rear when coming to a stop . The 1390 Super Duke R Evo will be available in orange with red highlights or black with orange highlights .

On the other end of the displacement scale , KTM says the updates to the 390 Duke and 250 Duke ( which replaces the 200 Duke ) represent the biggest change among the smaller Dukes since the 390 Duke was introduced in 2015 . Both bikes
