Standing out

“ We ’ re seeing the competition continue to explode . We see a lot of companies coming and basically leaving , says Justin Schroepfer , vice president of marketing for Bakcou e-bikes . “ They see that there ’ s this big opportunity within the e-bike space … So they decide to get into it without understanding what it really takes to operate . We ’ ve been around since 2016 , so we ’ re well-established , we have a well-established brand , a trusted brand , which I think is really important because you see all of these bike companies pop up …
“ One of the big differences you see with e-bikes and e-bike prices , just a little e-bike 101 , is the motor . The main components are going to be your battery and your motor . That ’ s what makes an e-bike an e-bike . With the battery , we offer the single biggest battery on the market . It ’ s like having a gas tank . The bigger the gas tank , the further you can go . We have the biggest single battery that you can put on an e-bike out there . It ’ s made of Samsung , Panasonic cells – it ’ s really top quality .”

Distribution channel

eBliss Global is a rising emobility solutions company aiming to bring the e-bike boom to the U . S . We spoke to CEO Bill Klehm :
“ When I look at the distribution channels for the U . S ., obviously dealerships in general , in which a professional sales process can be established with a consumer , powersports dealers are in a great position to do that .
“ You ’ re starting to see this merging of distribution channels ,” he says regarding automotive and powersports dealers , “ because it ’ s around what customers want .
“ There are powersports dealers who have tried to get into the e-bike space . The problem is that the products that are being positioned , aren ’ t being positioned for the use-case . ‘ So , what are you going to do with the bike ?’ That ’ s one of the conversations you ’ ve got to learn how to have with the consumer .”
It ’ s essential for these stakeholders to work in unison . By addressing the concerns , leveraging advancements , and creating a supportive ecosystem , the powersports industry can move towards a future that is both exciting and sustainable .
