For a period of 90 days from the date of the agreement in principle , the stockholders agree to vote as recommended by the board at any annual or special meeting of the company ’ s stockholders and to refrain from calling any special meetings of company stockholders , granting or soliciting proxies ( other than to named proxies included in the company ’ s proxy card for any stockholder meeting ), or making any nominations or proposals at any annual or special meetings of stockholders .
IRONHORSE FUNDING EXPANDS SERVICES TO INCLUDE RVS
Ironhorse Funding LLC , a provider of financing solutions to motorcycle and powersports enthusiasts and dealers , has announced the expansion of its lending programs to include recreational vehicles ( RVs ).
Effective immediately , RVers with loans on their motorized or towable RVs can apply to refinance to lower their monthly payments through its easy online refinance application . Consumers looking to finance the purchase of a new or used RV can apply through Ironhorse Funding ’ s finance application .
The company is also working with select agents and originators to help RV dealers in
45 states offer customers competitive financing rates and flexible terms backed by Ironhorse Funding ’ s 5−star customer service .
This marks the second program expansion in 2023 for Ironhorse Funding . With the addition of recreational vehicles , riders and adventurers can now refinance or finance motorcycles , ATVs , side-by-sides , personal watercraft , motorhomes , and towable RVs .
“ We ’ ve been anticipating the addition of RVs to our dealer and direct-to-consumer lending programs for a while ,” says Jon Krumdick , chief executive officer of Ironhorse . “ We waited until we were ready to enter the market with a very competitive program as well as the technology updates and staff to fully
support the launch . We ’ re excited to serve RV customers with the same exceptional service we ’ ve become known for in the motorcycle and powersports markets .”
NPDA ADDS LONGTIME DEALER TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The National Powersports Dealers Association ( NPDA ) has added another industry expert , John Leach , owner of Pete ’ s Cycle Co ., to its board of directors . The organization has now surpassed 350 members in its relatively short existence .

Maryland , has joined the NPDA board . Leach grew up in the powersports business , beginning as a 12−year-old at Pete ’ s Cycle , which was started by his father in 1938 . After holding many positions at the dealership over the years , Leach took over operations in 1991 . Pete ’ s Cycle Co . has two dealership locations , carrying 15 brands between the two stores .
“ I believe the NPDA board of directors is there to help weigh out policies from the manufacturers as well as the government to help steer the dealers and the industry in the correct direction ,” Leach says . “ Also , to help fellow dealers out with working on their business , not in their business .”
“ John brings great expertise to his position on the NPDA board ,” says Bob Althoff , chairman of the NPDA . “ We look forward to seeing the ideas he brings forth and the contributions he makes in helping us continue the work of this association .”
Since its founding in May 2021 , the association has quickly added new powersports dealer members , including Harley-Davidson and metric dealers and independent ( non-franchised ) shops . The board of directors consists of nine men and three women who are dealers from Alaska to Virginia and Ohio to Texas .
GRANDUDE ’ S MOTORCYCLE SHOP CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING IN COLORADO
The husband-and-wife team of Derrick and Krista Smith turned their passion into a new motorcycle business recently in Longmont , Colorado , near Boulder , according to a report in the Longmont Leader . The couple opened the shop in a grand opening full of supporters , which is a testament to their efforts to support the community as much as their craftsmanship .
“ This is a longtime dream ,” Smith told the newspaper , “ to be involved with all my friends and my family , and all of them , pulling everything they got to make it happen so quickly .”
Before a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the new shop , Smith recounted his journey to the founding of Grandude ’ s Motorcycle Shop and his passion for both the community and the motorcycle industry .
