Stark Future is once again redefining the limits of two-wheel electric mobility, after the OEM secured the 2026 FIM SuperEnduro World Championship Manufacturers’ title, marking the first time ever in the history of the series an electric motorcycle manufacturer has won the title.
During the season, the Stark Varg EX competed against top manufacturers such as KTM, Husqvarna, and Triumph. Although Billy Bolt won the Prestige individual championship on a Husqvarna, Stark took the overall top manufacturer spot for overall team performance throughout the series by accumulating the highest total points across the SuperEnduro World Championship season. The Manufacturer’s Title is especially significant to the Stark race team, considering it was denied entry to the championship just two years ago. Its championship win reflects the rapid evolution of Stark’s technology and racing program.
“From the beginning, our goal was simple: build the best off-road motorcycles in the world and prove their performance at the highest level of racing,” says Stark founder and CEO Anton Wass. “Winning the FIM SuperEnduro Manufacturers’ World Championship shows what is possible when innovation, engineering, and racing ambition come together.”
The milestone win is just the latest example of Stark displaying the performance capabilities of its electric motorcycles. In November, Swiss mountaineer-rider Jiri Zak, while riding a Stark VARG EX, set a new Guinness World Record altitude mark for motorcycles, riding to 22,044 feet on Chile’s Los Ojos del Salado, the highest active volcano on Earth.
And Stark says it’s not slowing down on its R&D. Following a Q1 earnings call, the company reported more than 200% year-over-year sales growth in January, and plans on expanding its footprint beyond off-road and into larger street categories.
With its latest enduro success and R&D commitment to enter the street segment — and its ability to remain profitable — dealers should pay close attention to Stark when evaluating their electric inventory strategy.
Zero Motorcycles has introduced a new dealer-facilitated direct-to-consumer shipping program designed to streamline delivery of its X Line electric off-road motorcycles while keeping dealers at the center of the transaction.
The program allows authorized U.S. dealers to sell in-crate versions of the XB and XE electric models, which can be shipped directly to a customer’s home from Zero’s central inventory. Customers will complete the final assembly themselves using the company’s official documentation and video instructions.
Zero says the new program is aimed at aligning the brand with purchasing trends in the growing lightweight electric off-road segment, where buyers increasingly expect faster delivery and online ordering options.
“The X Line opened the door to a new generation of electric off-road riders,” says Garrett Johnson, vice president of sales and CX for North America at Zero. “This program streamlines the purchase process and gives customers a quicker, more flexible way to get on an X Line bike without sacrificing service support from our dealer network.”
Under the program, Johnson says dealers still handle the retail transaction, but motorcycles can be shipped directly to customers through residential freight service.
Zero said the initiative could also help participating dealers reduce in-store assembly requirements while improving inventory flexibility. Key elements of the program include:
Dealer-facilitated retail sales of in-crate XB and XE models
Residential drop shipment from Zero’s central inventory
Customer self-assembly supported by official Zero instructions
One-year vehicle and one-year battery warranty
Continued dealer service and support
The company said the strategy allows it to maintain its dealer-backed model while adapting to evolving retail expectations.
The move comes as the lightweight electric off-road category continues to grow, with several manufacturers targeting new riders looking for simpler ownership and faster purchase experiences.
Zero said the program reinforces the dealership as the primary customer relationship point while improving fulfillment speed.
Electric powersports manufacturer Taiga Motors announced its newest snowmobile lineup, which expands its Nomad platform with three purpose-built models for 2027.
Taiga says its MY27 snowmobile platform — which includes the Nomad Pro, Nomad Performance, and Nomad Scout — is built to accelerate electric snowmobile adoption at scale, delivering safer rides and lower operating costs.
“We’ve spent a decade making this possible, we’re now at the tipping point where the value proposition of electric is simply better than gas, and that’s ultimately what every rider is looking for,” says Samuel Bruneau, CEO and founder of Taiga Motors.
All three models have an expected range of 62 miles and deliver up to 3kW at 120V and 220V. Taiga also introduced built-in geofencing on the MY27, allowing fleet managers to define exactly where on a mountain each machine can operate. Remote speed limiting and power controls can also be set for individual sleds from the app, and digital keys can grant or restrict rider access instantly.
Also included are brake-activated throttle limitation and a new 1kW 12V auxiliary system, which enables plug-and-play customization with lights, winches, and hydraulics.
Taiga says the Pro is the commercial workhorse of the lineup: 60kW, purpose-built for ski patrol, fleet operators, tour companies, and utility applications. Higher regenerative braking reduces mechanical brake wear in mountain operations. With geofencing, speed limiting, and remote fleet control built in, the Nomad Pro gives operators the management tools that risk managers and insurers are increasingly requiring as a condition of operation.
Taiga’s highest-performance utility snowmobile features a next-gen 120kW drive unit, capable of hauling 1,000 lb. The jump from 90kW in the previous generation represents a 33% increase in output, the largest single performance leap in Taiga’s history. The model incorporates optional performance suspension for riders who demand both.
For use beyond the trail, the lightweight Scout features 120kW at any altitude, and a new 2-inch deeper lug track for all-terrain performance. It also features an updated rear suspension and narrower stance for improved riding in deeper snow with optional Elka Stage 3 shocks, and an integrated ski and snowboard mounting system.
The MY27 Nomad lineup is now available for pre-order.
