“ Can-Am bringing its all-new Pulse and Origin motorcycles to Electrify Expo Orlando— and offering attendees the world’ s first public demo rides on the motorcycle— is a major moment for the industry,” says BJ Birtwell, CEO and founder of Electrify Expo.“ This is exactly the kind of hands-on experience that shifts perceptions and drives adoption towards going electric on two wheels.”
Can-Am showcased its entire lineup of electric motorcycles at the Orange County

Pair of electric motorcycles win iF Design Awards

BRP’ s pair of electric motorcycles, Can-Am Pulse and Can-Am Origin, were recently named winners of the 2025 iF Design Awards.
An internationally renowned competition in the field of design and innovation, the iF Design Awards highlights the global importance of design, its social relevance and influence and, this year, an increased emphasis on sustainability.
“ BRP has a longstanding history of investing in trendsetting design and innovation. The Can-Am Pulse and Can-Am Origin are the latest examples of this daring approach,” says Denys Lapointe, chief design officer at BRP.“ The Can-Am electric motorcycle lineup is paving the way for a future where modern electric power, connectivity, and thrill go hand in hand.”
TWO MODELS, TWO PERSONALITIES Within the overall design ecosystem, the Can-Am Pulse and Can-Am Origin share several key attributes that set them apart from the competition. This includes aesthetics that give a distinct Can-Am look and presence, as well as integrated technology such as a liquid-cooled Rotax E-Power system, which limits battery degradation over time while simultaneously optimizing the range and charge time. It allows riders to experience quick and efficient charging – going from 20 % to 80 % in 50 minutes – using Level 2 charging at home or at automotive charging stations.
The Can-Am Pulse is inspired by the majestic snowy owl for its silence and efficiency, offering a minimalistic aesthetic.
CAN-AM PULSE Designed to be agile and nimble with a low center of gravity for enhanced stability, this street motorcycle appeals to new and experienced riders, including people of smaller stature for whom riding can be intimidating. It is a premium and trendy choice to meet a wide range of day-today mobility needs.
The Can-Am Origin seamlessly transitions from street to trail with its versatile multi-terrain capabilities.
CAN-AM ORIGIN The Can-Am Origin dual-sport electric motorcycle’ s weight distribution, compact proportions, thoughtful ergonomics, advanced suspension, and specialized geometry also helps to ensure a stable and comfortable ride for both beginning experienced riders. It meets the needs of powersports enthusiasts who like to live off the beaten path but also want to ride to work and around the city in style.

Yamaha reveals new five-seater LiFePO4 golf carts in Japan

Yamaha Motor has announced that it will launch new fiveseater electric golf carts, the G30Es and G31EPs, in Japan in June 2025.
The new lineup consists of the electromagnetically guided G30Es and the manually operated G31EPs, equipped with a newly developed lithium-ion battery and a vehicle control unit. In addition to the inherent quietness of an electric vehicle, Yamaha says adopting a high-performance AC motor with superior speed and torque control provides a more powerful, smooth, and stable ride.
The lithium-ion battery is an in-house Yamaha Motor development that is fully designed and manufactured by the company. Yamaha says it achieved high reliability and an extended lifespan by using lithium iron phosphate( LiFePO4) materials for its cells. Two battery options are available for the new golf cars: 4 kWh and 6 kWh, allowing users to choose based on driving range, course characteristics, and play style. The vehicle control unit optimally manages the motor control unit for the drive motor, achieving high efficiency and output.
According to the company, combining a regenerative braking system and an AC motor reduces power consumption by approximately 30 % compared to previous models. In 2025, Yamaha Motor will celebrate its 50th anniversary in the golf car business. The G30Es and G31EPs mark a new starting point for its Low-Speed Mobility( LSM) business as it moves into the next 50 years. The company is also planning to introduce both models to the Taiwanese market at a later date.
