OPE +: How can this benefit landscape contractors and other professional equipment users ? Dayrit : The biggest benefit of incorporating intelligent and EVSE capable on-board charging solutions is opening the available places to charge . As automotive EVs continue to grow and gain traction in the marketplace , the necessary charging infrastructure and network will continue to expand . As landscape contractors are always on the move , their ability to access charging stations and charge points will be a high priority since time equates to money . The ability to have portable accessible power via a battery-powered portable power station incorporated into their equipment trailers will only supplement the availability for power on the go .
OPE +: What is possible now , and what is a timeline for changes and improvements ? Dayrit : The technology of intelligent charging is already available . The missing piece is the ability for OEMs to integrate these technologies into their vehicles . Some are already in development , and some have it as topics to discuss for integration .
