When it comes to products and design , hardscaping jobs vary from place to place and region to region . A job in colder climates such as Utah or Colorado will have significantly different needs and stylistic choices than those in warmer regions . Once a project is installed , there are also maintenance needs to consider for various climates and weather conditions . Here are a few tips to keep in mind when hardscaping across different regions and climates , as well as maintenance advice to share with your clients .
Material selection : Color , texture and performance
The marketplace is rich with hardscape material options today , and the final selection comes down to your client ’ s design and budget . Climate should also factor into this decision ; certain materials are better suited for colder or warmer conditions , as well as areas that receive more rainfall .
