Everything is automated at our house : the window shades , lights , music , locks , HVAC , you name it . When you walk into the bathroom , the lights turn on , the toilet seat goes up , and if it ’ s not bedtime , the music starts playing through speakers in the ceiling . And I never have to yell at the kids to turn off the lights , because the home automation does it for us . A good home automation is like a phone , you ’ ve got to upgrade it every few years . I ’ m getting excited just thinking about the next automation project .
