EQUIP EXPO ADDS WOMEN ’ S EVENT Equip Expo has scheduled a new event during this October ’ s exposition to advocate for female participation and occupation in the industry . At the inaugural Women ’ s Leadership Reception , women can connect and build their industry network . The reception is sponsored by SiteOne and Belgard , and will be held Thursday , October 19 , from 5:00 p . m . to 6:00 p . m . at the Kentucky Exposition Center ( KEC ). About 20 percent of the more than 25,000 attendees and exhibitors who attend Equip Exposition , the international landscape , outdoor living , and equipment exposition , are women .

“ Women are a key demographic in the landscape contracting and outdoor power equipment industries . It made sense to create programming that serves them ,” says Kris Kiser , President and CEO of the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute ( OPEI ), which owns Equip Exposition .
