ARIENS ADDS ONYX MODEL TO IKON LINEUP AriensCo ’ s Ariens brand of outdoor power equipment has launched the Ikon Onyx , a bold , custom zero-turn lawn mower with a 52-inch deck .
“ Every lawn mower in the Ariens lineup makes a statement , and the Ikon Onyx makes several ,” says Andy Massignan , AriensCo product director for residential lawn . “ It reflects performance and attention-grabbing style . Even when parked in the driveway , it tells your neighbors that you don ’ t settle for just anything to cut your grass .”
While retaining the premium features of the Ariens Ikon platform , the Ikon Onyx is equipped with a 23-horsepower Kawasaki FR691V engine and it sports a striking black-onblack finish . In addition , the new zero-turn adds large , aggressive tread rear tires to round out its character , as well as a molded floor mat and rubber isolators under the seat absorb shock and enhance comfort .
“ Our bold design shows homeowners what they can have in a lawn mower ,” says Massignan . “ The Ikon Onyx isn ’ t just daring in its looks – we pushed the boundaries on comfort to continue redefining what it means to mow the lawn .”
The mower retains customer favorites from the IKON platform , the company points out , including a fully welded , steel tubular frame for durability ; a 22-inch plush , highback seat for exceptional comfort ; and an 11-gauge fabricated Ariens Envy steel deck . Four points of support help keep the deck level over bumpy terrain .
Accessory options for the Ariens Ikon Onyx include a trailer hitch , a bagger , a grass mulching kit and a striping kit .
Also available : a grab handle for easier entry and exit to and from the cockpit . The Ikon Onyx is now available at Ariens dealerships in the United States and Canada ( and Lowe ’ s stores in select markets ).
ECHO ADDS FOUR GAS-POWERED CHAINSAWS Echo has announced the addition of four new gas chainsaws to its lineup . Two of the new chainsaws – the CS-4920 and CS-4010 – will replace the CS-4910 and CS-400 , respectively , and will offer more power and lower emissions . The other two new saws – the CS-2511TN and CS-2511PN – have been upgraded to include a new SpeedCut Nano 80TXL cutting system .
“ The chainsaw market continues to grow based on consumer demand . From an increased desire to use sustainable material , such as wood for furniture , to deforestation for plant-based products that require more arable land , these saws are being used more now than ever before and Echo will continue to meet the market needs ,” says Jerry Morgan , product manager , Echo .
The Echo CS-4920 50.2 cc rear-handle chainsaw is lightweight and powerful , targeted to large landowners who fell and buck trees , process firewood or have storm clean ups . Replacing the company ’ s CS-4910 saw , the CS-4920 features a stratified 2-stroke engine that offers lower emissions and features the same powerful performance . Other features include a common bar mount , added purge bulb and momentary switch . MSRP is $ 379.99 .
The Echo CS-4010 41.6 cc rear-handle chainsaw replaces the Echo CS-400 . The saw features a new i-30 starter that reduces starting effort by 30 %. In addition , it ’ s 0.7 lbs . lighter and features 13 % more power than its predecessor . An ideal saw for homeowners , it can be used for a wide range of applications from cutting firewood to storm cleanup . MSRP is $ 319.99 .
The new CS-2511TN and CS-2511PN chainsaws – both available in June 2023 – have been designed to be the two lightest gas-powered chainsaws in North America , reports Echo . Both feature the new SpeedCut Nano 80TXL cutting system , a smaller chain chassis optimized for saws in the 1- to 3-horsepower range . This system features a . 325-inch low-profile chain combined with a . 043-inch gauge bar , as well as a system-specific sprocket to deliver increased cutting speed and a smoother cut . MSRP for both the CS- 2511TN and CS-2511PN chainsaws starts at $ 459.99 . All four chainsaws feature a two-year commercial warranty and a five-year consumer warranty .
