This AVA was accepted by the TTB in late October, pending fi nal rulemaking. Borne of Fire is the only wine on the market from The Burn. Herbal aromas laced with pomegranate and stony minerals, followed by powdery tannins and fl avors of cherry, currant, savory spice and red pepper. This is a 100% Blue Agave tequila, produced and distilled in Tequila, Mexico, and fi ltered through Mexican silver. Rooster Rojo is the only tequila brand fi ltered through silver, the company says, a process the makers believe to lend the fi nal product an even greater smoothness. Available in Blanco, Reposado and Anejo. URL: SRP: $19.99-$24.49 oer 750-ml. bottle. 14 LAMBAY IRISH WHISKEYS From CIL US Wines & Spirits, the U.S. subsidiary of Camus Wines & Spirits. A collab- oration between cognac-producer Camus and the Baring Family's Revelstoke Trust. Includes a blend and a single malt, both fi nished in Cognac barrels and exposed to sea air. The name comes from Lambay Island, a wildlife sanctuary located off the east coast of Ireland, owned by the Baring Family since 1904 URL: SRP: $30-35, or $65-70, respectively, per 750-ml. bottle. 15 MCBRIDE SISTERS SPARKLING BRUT ROSÉ This sparkling wine is 90% pinot noir and 10% chardonnay. All the fruit is from vineyards certifi ed sustainable by Sustainable Winegrowing New Zealand. The pinot noir was sourced from vineyards sites located in Marlborough's Wairau Valley. Notes of rose petals, strawberries and cream, and red berries. The red fruits carry through the palate, with cranberry, peach, strawberry and raspberry notes. URL: SRP: $19.99 per 750-ml. bottle. 16 RENZO MASI CONTRAPPASSO ITALIAN RED BLEND From a third generation Tuscan wine producer. Comprised of 50% syrah and 50% sangiovese grapes, and made in a traditional Tuscan winemaking method called con governo. Grapes are harvested at the peak of ripeness and hung on a rack to dry. The clusters dehydrate and concentrate the fl avor and grape sugars and are then pressed, given extended skin contact, and fermented in stainless vats. URL: SRP: $14.99 per 750-ml. bottle. 17 DIVING INTO HAMPTON WATER Launched by Music icon Jon Bon Jovi, his son Jesse Bongiovi, and French winemaker Gérard Bertrand. The wine is described as fresh and lively, with minerality, featuring grenache, cinsault and mourvèdre, varieties characteristic of the French Mediterranean region. Set to hit the shelves before spring 2018. URL: SRP: $25 per 750-ml. bottle. 18 THE SEXTON SINGLE MALT IRISH WHISKEY Crafted from 100% malted barley that is triple distilled in copper pots, The Sexton is then aged in fi rst-, second- and third-fi ll Oloroso Sherry casks. On the nose, marzipan, allspice and fruits follow aromas of nuts and dark chocolate, the company says.
