Blends rums fi ve-to-eight years old in American white oak casks before fi nishing four-to-six weeks in Mancino Vermouth Vecchio barrels. Reminiscent of a Manhattan, the company reports, with the sweet vermouth-soaked wood barrel creating notes of cherry and raisins that interact with the aged rum blend's natural honey, dark chocolate and vanilla fl avors. 40% ABV. URL: SRP: $49.99 per 750-ml. bottle. 2 FETZER 50TH ANNIVERSARY CALIFORNIA CABERNET SAUVIGN To celebrate half a century of business in 2018, Mendocino County winery Fetzer Vine- yards will release a 50th anniversary cab sauv. Bright fruit fl avors framed by undertones of mocha, vanilla and toffee. A mix of fruit grown in California including the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Blended with petit verdot, merlot and syrah. Also: a 50th anniversary sticker will affi x the entire Fetzer line in 2018. URL: SRP: $12.99 per 750-ml. bottle. 3 JOHNNIE WALKER BLUE LABEL GHOST AND RARE The fi rst in a series of special releases created using whiskies from "ghost" distilleries that have long since closed, blended together with other whiskies. This contains spirits from the ghost distilleries of Cambus, Pittyvaich, and Brora, closed since 1983. 46% ABV, with sweetness of pineapple, notes of hazelnut and dark chocolate and a subtle smoky fi nish. The fi rst mezcal in the new line is Casamigos Mezcal. Made in Santiago Matatlán, the spirit is 100% espadin agave and 40% ABV. Casamigos Mezcal is unaged, smoky, and has fl avors of tamarind, pomegranate, banana and mango. Also be available in a 1-L. format. "The full, rich, classic Macallan body holds the supporting characters of sweet apples & vanillas, to give an all-encompassing whisky," says The Macallan's Master Distiller, Nick Savage. After purchasing the brand rights from Georgetown Trading Co., M.S. Walker will roll out the whiskey — named after the famous Boston boxer of the same name — nationwide beginning immediately. Aged in bourbon casks, this blended Irish whiskey exhibits notes of spice and vanilla, the company reports. Both are made with local wheat and purifi ed water. Honey Pepper is made with honey from bees raised on the property, and a mixture of chili pepper varieties.
