Available with a new 96-inch UltraCut Flex Wing cutting deck and Exmark RED Technology-equipped Yanmar liquid- cooled diesel engine, the new machine is capable of cutting more than 10 acres per hour. Designed to reduce operator exposure to bumps and vibrations, the Lazer Z Diesel features isolation mounts under the seat base and footrest, and within the motion control system. The full-suspension operator seat uses Exmark's scissor link ball-bearing suspension system, an Elastomeric Vibration Control (EVC) stretch fabric base, and custom seat cushion foam for all-day comfort. Lazer Z Diesel models are also available with a 60- or 72-inch UltraCut cutting deck in side- or rear-discharge configurations. Exmark Mfg. FERRIS 400S Landscape professionals looking for the benefits of a commercial-grade ZTR at an entry-level price of $4,299 can now turn to the Ferris 400S. The 400S has commercial-grade spindle bearings; rear suspension; large fuel capacity; ergonomic seats with armrests; and an independent, large rear progressive coil-over-shock suspension that cannot be found on comparable models. When combined with performance features such as a Briggs & Stratton Commercial Series 23-gross-hp./724-cc engine or a Kawasaki FR 21.5-hp./651-cc engine, a 48-inch mower deck, 20-inch drive tires and 10-inch caster tires, landscapers will enjoy an effortless ride while quickly tackling jobs at up to 8 mph. It is powered by a Tier 4 Final-compliant 1.3L, 3-cylinder, liquid- cooled diesel engine that delivers high-torque power while producing fewer emissions than gasoline or propane, thanks to an advanced combustion system that requires no diesel exhaust emissions systems to maintain. The fuel-efficient engine also cuts fuel consumption by almost half. The torque of the diesel engine allows for uninterrupted mowing — even in lush, overgrown conditions — with a 61-inch or 72-inch DuraMax deck powered with a splined PTO shaft. Both decks are equipped with Grasshopper's PowerFold electric deck lift, which rotates the deck to a near vertical position with the flip of a switch for easy underside cleaning and blade replacement. The same feature also adjusts the deck cutting height. Other features include a combination electronic fuel gauge and digital hour meter; 2 USB charging ports; design-matched G2 21-cc pump-and-wheel-motor drives; hydraulic/ deck/implement lift; LED lights; and QuikAjust Tilt dual steering levers. The mower also comes with Grasshopper's QuikConverter implement system to add many turf renovation, debris management and snow removal implements for year-round productivity. The Grasshopper Co.
