From its unique cus- tomer engagement to its recent renovations, the dealership is building a strong following for its Euro brands. The Transportation Revolution New Orleans, a five-time Powersports Business Power 50 dealership, is the only dealership in the entire to city to carry its four European brands — BMW, Ducati, Triumph and Vespa. As a result, each time the dealership has added a new brand, it has also had to develop the market for it. From Vespa, the brand that car- ried the dealership through its first five years of operation, to BMW, added last fall to much success, it's had to develop the market for each brand, according to owner Zach Materne. "The European market here is strange, but we've been able to build it over the last decade or so, so it was kind of a natural progression of going from Vespa in 2002, to Triumph in 2007 and Ducati in 2008," Materne said. USA's vice president of Recreation Vehicle Operations, spoke of an ambitious development and production schedule, which included a plan to release a new UTV each year for the next five years. One year later, he added to this ambi- tious goal by telling Powersports Business that Yamaha wanted to grow its side-by-side business by "almost tenfold" over the next three years. With the unveiling last month of Yamaha's all-new 2019 Wolverine X2 side-by-side, a ver- satile unit that will appeal to all types of UTV users, it's another impressive step forward. Several weeks prior to its June 6 public launch, Powersports Business attended an exclusive press reveal for the new unit at Brimstone Recreation in Huntsville, Tennes- see, near Knoxville.
