For some people , a snowmobile provides transportation to a remote work site , access to a secluded area , or a means to reach a snow-bound person in need of aid . For people in those situations , the snowmobile is an important tool – a means to get something done .

For the vast majority of snowmobile owners , however , the vehicle provides an also-vitally important means of escape from the daily grind . When behind the handlebar of a snowmobile , problems seem to drift away like the snowdust behind our machines as we clear mind-space , connect with nature and enjoy the company of like-minded enthusiasts in a dramatic winter landscape .

Whether weaving down twisting , trail-lined trails , carving in powderfilled bowls , crossing snow-covered lakes or climbing to stunning overlooks to view the dynamic valley below , the process of maneuvering that machine across the brilliant white countryside is often the best possible therapy for people living in stressful times . Touring riders often return from their trips tired , yet refreshed and ready to meet new challenges .

To help inspire riders to get their sleds out of the garage more often and enjoy the sport – and their lives – to the fullest , we ’ ve created this : The Snow Goer Great Escapes digital magazine . Each issue will feature some of

the best tour and destination stories from Snow Goer magazine , presented in a different format to allow readers to dream about the possibilities .
