� NRG ACQUIRES HART & ILIFF ; WEAVER ENERGY ACQUIRED
NRG Heat & Power , Rye Brook , N . Y ., acquired Hart & Iliff Fuel and Energy Systems in Newton , N . J ., Cetane Associates announced .
Hart & Iliff was established in 1889 by brothers-in-law Nathan H . Hart and Louis S . Iliff . The company originally sold feed , grain , coal , and building materials . Over time , they expanded into heating oil sales and the installation and servicing of heating and air conditioning systems . After several years of partnership , Louis Iliff acquired Nathan Hart ’ s share of the business . The Iliff family managed the company until 1971 , when it was sold to Albert and Florence Brand . For more than 130 years , the owners have grown their business by consistently prioritizing their customers ’ needs . Charles J . Brand , owner of Hart & Iliff , commented , “ This transaction is a milestone in our long history . We are proud of our people and know that our customers will remain in steady and caring hands going forward .”
NRG was established in December 1996 by partners with a combined 65 years of experience in the oil industry , focusing on wholesale supply , distribution , and retail heating fuels across N . Y ., N . J ., and Pa . NRG operates a group of companies , including Liberty Oil & Propane in Pennsylvania , Clickable Oil in Northern New Jersey , and NRG Wholesale in Elizabeth , N . J . Guy Pipolo , partner at NRG , stated , “ It ’ s an honor to own a company with such a rich history . We ’ ll carry on their legacy by continuing to provide exceptional service to their customers .”
Cetane ( www . cetane . com ) served as the arranger and financial advisor to Hart & Iliff . The transaction closed on October 1 . Cetane also announced that Guttman Energy and its business entity Source One Transportation , both based in Belle Vernon , Pa ., acquired Weaver Energy , Inc ., Lititz , Pa . The transaction closed on September 16 , 2024 .

PPA WELCOMES NEW MEMBERS
The Pennsylvania Petroleum Association announced new members , including Growmark and Tartan Oil , and HVAC contractors Doylestown Air , based in Doylestown , and Dustin ’ s Mechanical , with headquarters in New Egypt , N . J .
Growmark and Tartan Oil became refiner / wholesale supplier members , the Association announced in its newsletter , PPA Express Update . They are petroleum marketers who supply other independent branded and non-branded petroleum marketers that sell gasoline , heating oil , diesel fuel , kerosene , propane and other petroleum products . Growmark has supplied agricultural and energy products for nearly 100 years .
Tartan Oil LLC serves more than 10,000 locations across 48 U . S . states and Canada , providing refined products , DEF , and lubricants , the newsletter said . Headquartered in Knoxville , TN , Tartan Oil ’ s brands include Saratoga Rack Marketing , Pro Petroleum , Southern Counties Oil Company , and Tri-Star DEF . Silverline Solutions joined as an associate member , a firm that supplies active members with petroleum products and other related services and products . Silverline provides smart IT solutions to the fuel and energy industries . Its business lines include industry focused online customer portals , Cloud server hosting , complete managed IT services , and VoIP phone systems .

R . W . BECKETT ADDS FOUR TO SALES TEAM
R . W . Beckett announced that it added four people to its sales force . Matt Weiss was named director of sales . Weiss has a background in operations and sales , primarily selling into the original equipment manufacturer market and the maintenance , repair and operations market , in industries including steel and automotive . Most recently he served as a regional manager overseeing sales and operations for 15 offices in the Midwest and 20 direct reports . Weiss will work out of the company ’ s North Ridgeville , Ohio , facility , responsible for all sales activities for R . W . Beckett , including OEM , aftermarket and specialty products .
Scott Seavey was named account manager . Seavey has worked for more than 30 years in the oil heat industry , including as an oil burner technician , branch manager , sales representative and service manager for companies such as HR Clough , The Granite Group , Viking Oil and Dustin Oil . He is also a former owner of a service tech business . Seavey will support aftermarket activity in New Hampshire , Vermont and Maine .

Michael Magnone was named an account manager . Following a 25-year career as owner and CEO of an oil dealer and trucking company in the Bronx , Magnone most recently held the position of field supervisor for Robinson Oil of New York . Magnone will support aftermarket activity in the NYC Metro area , Northern New Jersey and Long Island .
Millie Paradis was named an account manager . Paradis will transition from product management where she helped develop and grow R . W . Beckett ’ s tank accessory product lines . Her responsibilities will be to manage the company ’ s export business and provide additional support to the aftermarket team . l FON
