Two related conferences this month address critical issues shaping the clean fuels industry . The conferences , both in San Diego , are the 13th annual OPIS LCFS & Carbon Markets Workshop , Jan . 14-16 , and the Clean Fuels Conference , Jan . 20-23 .

Silecchia guides Star Group on its road map to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2050 , helping navigate through the everchanging landscape of legislation , while supporting efforts on the ground . Silecchia graduated from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting .
Jon Scharingson , Executive Director , Strategic Initiatives Sales , Chevron Renewable Energy Group , based in Ames , IA . Scharingson previously held the role of Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at Chevron Renewable Energy Group . He joined legacy REG in 2007 .
In his role he leads business development efforts in the developing low carbon marine fuel market in North America . His team also

Prior to joining Renewable Energy Group , Scharingson spent 17 years in the seeds , crop protection and agriculture biotechnology industries working for Imperial Chemical Industries , AstraZeneca and Syngenta . He held several senior management roles in business strategy , business development and marketing . Scharingson has a BBA in Management and an MBA in Marketing from Iowa State University .
The moderator is Paul Nazzaro , President of The Nazzaro Group . He has represented Clean Fuels since 1996 in the capacity of Supply Chain Liaison . He focuses on ensuring the successful commercialization of low carbon liquid fuels nationally . He has developed and implemented countless training and communication programs to advance the growth of these fuels .
