Propane distributors require employees to have Hazardous Materials( HazMat)
Awareness and HM126F certification to comply with the U. S. Department of Transportation( DOT) regulations. The DOT requires this training for anyone involved in the transportation of propane, including drivers, those preparing shipping papers, and personnel involved in packaging, labeling, or loading. The training must be completed within 90 days of employment, with recurrent training required every three years, and covers general awareness, function-specific duties, safety, and security.
