Rhode Island is qualified under the state ’ s emerging community solar program . Construction is targeted for completion during the first half of 2019 . Nautilus will be responsible for the project management , customer subscription , and long-term asset management and maintenance services for the project . The project will be owned by an affiliate of Virgo Investment Group , which is also a minority shareholder of Nautilus . The energy generated by the projects will directly benefit qualified residential off-takers situated within National Grid ’ s service territory by providing energy cost savings while also advancing Rhode Island ’ s overall renewable energy goals , Nautilus , based in Summit , N . J ., said in a Jan . 15 announcement .

“ We ’ re proud that this project will be one of the first community solar projects in Rhode Island . We ’ re particularly pleased that the site requires minimal tree clearing , avoids wetland areas , and is generally not visible from roads or homes ,” said Greg Lucini , CEO of ISM Solar .

� OBITUARY : DAVID J . LAMPREY , SR .

David J . Lamprey , Sr ., who was a co-owner of Lamprey Brothers , a family-owned heating-cooling fuel oil business in North Hampton , N . H ., died on Dec . 27 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital , Portsmouth , N . H . He was 80 .

Lamprey Brothers was established in 1923 in North Hampton and is now called Lamprey Energy . It is still a family-owned business operating at the same location where it was founded . Lamprey , of Exeter , a former longtime Northampton resident , worked in the business for 42 years . He retired in 1999 .

Lamprey was born in Portsmouth in 1938 a son of the late D . Morris and Gertrude Lamprey . He shared 58 years of marriage with his wife Joanne . In addition to his wife , family members include four children , David , Douglass , Donald Lamprey and Debra Whitten . He is also survived by his sister , Josephine A . Lamprey . Lamprey was predeceased by his brother , Charles A . Lamprey , Sr .

He graduated from Hampton Academy with the class of 1955 and from Wentworth Institute in Boston with a degree in machine work and tool making in 1957 .

Lamprey served as a volunteer firefighter in North Hampton for 19 years . He was also a member of the New Hampshire Oil Heat Council and New England Fuel Institute .

Lamprey was buried in the Center Cemetery , North Hampton . In lieu of flowers , donations may be made to NH Masonic Charities , PO Box 486 , Milford , NH 03055 www . nhgrandlodge . org or to a charity of one ’ s choice .

� DOROTHY TOWNSEND OF TOWNSEND ENERGY DIES AT 100

Dorothy R . Townsend , who worked for Townsend Energy for more than 65 years , died Dec . 18 at her home in Beverly Farms , Mass . She was 100 years old .

Townsend worked first with her husband , John Warren Townsend , and then with her sons , helping to build Townsend
