NY PGA Seeks Executive Director
The New York Propane Gas Association is searching for an Executive Director to lead the association and advance its mission to be a comprehensive resource for members and a tireless advocate for the propane industry in New York .
Candidates should have a bachelor ’ s degree and a track record of success that includes five or more years as a senior , non-profit executive . It is preferable if the executive experience is in the propane industry or a related field . This executive experience must include proven administrative , leadership , and communication skills such as the ability to manage an organization ’ s finances , lead the organization on its stated mission , and effectively communicate with a board of directors , association members , state executives and legislators , other organizations , etc .
Candidates must be comfortable and experienced leading an organization , managing its resources , organizing its services , advancing its mission , and communicating effectively with stakeholders from diverse groups including the general public , association members , state officials , legislators , and an active board of directors .
The position necessitates travel both in New York and nationally to develop and nurture relationships with members , legislators , peer associations , etc . The Executive Director is based in the greater Albany , New York area . Finally , the Executive Director manages a small staff and works closely with Officers , District Chairs , and Directors at Large of the association .
