After visiting Rhyolite, we backtracked on Route 374( Daylight Pass Road) to Titus Canyon Road, where we crossed into the small wedge of Death Valley National Park that’ s in Nevada( most of it is in California). As one of the most popular backcountry routes in the park, you can expect to share the road with Jeeps, 4x4 pickup trucks and a few ambitious( foolish?) folks driving minivans and cars even though high-clearance vehicles are recommended. Given the steep, uneven surfaces going over Red Pass and loose gravel in Titus Canyon, it should be avoided by most street-going motorcyclists. But if you have an adventure or dual-sport bike and some off-road experience, then you’ ll find Titus Canyon Road to be a fun, rewarding, scenic ride.
