Thompson Hotels Offering Dinner Party Experience
Hyatt Hotels Corp . recently launched “ A Taste of Thompson ” Dinner Parties . These events offer guests , locals and members the opportunity to curate and host dynamic dinner parties at Thompson Hotels globally . Thirteen Thompson Hotels and restaurants across the U . S ., Mexico and Europe are participating with offerings available fromn August through 2023 .
From exclusive menus and festive decor to carefully selected music and interactive entertainment , hosts can tap into the expertise of each property ’ s culinary , mixology and event specialists to design every detail for a lively and memorable gathering for six to 20 party guests . The dinners take place in intimate spaces throughout Thompson Hotels ’ signature rooftops , private dining and event spaces , and specialty suites , connecting diners and their guests with the authentic culinary culture of the 13 destinations .

Each hotel allows hosts to personalize their event from themed and custom designed menu options . These include a Flamenco-inspired gastronomic journey at Thompson Madrid ; an Asian-Pacific Northwest fusion menu complete with a whole tomahawk steak to be shared at Thompson Seattle ; and a “ La Parota ,” or “ Dinner in the Wild ” at Thompson Zihuatanejo , featuring a menu that takes patrons on a culinary adventure through Latin America .
Thompson Atlanta — Buckhead ’ s northern Italian dinner party , curated by James-Beard-nominated chef Todd Ginsberg of signature Italian American restaurant Dirty Rascal , is inspired by Ginsberg ’ s childhood and his mother ’ s classic Italian American dishes . Thompson Austin welcomes hosts to “ Hideaway ” – - an urban desert-themed dinner party experience in a private dining room on the rooftop of Wax Myrtle ' s with a four-course menu by executive chef Nick Erven .
And in New York , The Beekman ’ s “ Raise the Roof ” dinner party offers guests access to the property ’ s Turret Penthouse for a “ high-low ” four-course meal by chef Tom Colicchio , with fried chicken , caviar , and a premium selection of grower Champagne , plus bespoke sommelier service and personalized menus .
Legal Sea Foods Partnering With Privateer Rum On Specialty Daiquiri
Boston-based Legal Sea Foods partnered with Privateer Rum , on a special drink called the Privateer Hemingway Daiquiri for Legal Sea Foods ’ annual Oyster Festival .
Legal ’ s director of beverage Christian Giannaris wanted an oyster pairing that offered the essence of New England . He was intrigued by Privateer Rum ' s distilling process and Ipswich , MA , location . The region ’ s hot , humid summers and cold , dry winters creates new and more complex flavors vs . rums made in a tropical location . The Privateer Hemingway Daiquiri is available at Legal Sea Foods ’ 23 restaurants .

Cameron Mitchell Restaurants Partners With Piper-Heidsieck On Proprietary Champagne
Columbus , OH-based Cameron Mitchell Restaurants ( CMR ) has joined forces with Piper-Heidsieck to create an exclusive Champagne blend . Piper- Heidsieck Essentiel By Cameron Mitchell , which launched Oct . 10 , will be available at 34 CMR restaurants , including 17 Ocean Prime locations coast to coast .
Members of CMR ’ s team , including director of beverage Andrea Cornwell and regional directors Zach Montgomery and Mike Davis , traveled to Reims , France , to meet with Piper-Heidsieck CEO Benoît Collard and chief winemaker Émilien Boutillat to taste and select the blend . The cuvée is 45 % pinot noir , 36 % pinot meunier and 19 % chardonnay .
Piper-Heidsieck has partnered with just a few on-premise venues and sommeliers around the world , including Riley Huddleston at The Lido House in California , The Atlas in Singapore and the Michelin-starred restaurant The Coach in the U . K
The Champagne house produced 2,500 bottles of Piper-Heidsieck Essentiel By Cameron Mitchell . It ’ s available for $ 30 a glass or $ 120 a bottle at Ocean Prime locations ( except New York ), as well as most of CMR ’ s other restaurant concepts .
