Integra Marinas, the marina platform of Miami-based real estate investment and development firm Integra Investments, announced the grand opening of Four Fish Yacht Club and Marina. This marks the completion of a multi-year redevelopment of the Jensen Beach waterfront property.

The redevelopment is anchored by a new fully enclosed, Category 5 hurricane-resistant dry stack building featuring 141 dry rack spaces. The marina also offers 22 boat lifts, 50 wet slips, a dedicated floating fuel dock and more than 600 linear feet of floating transient docks, according to the company.

Dry stack storage and boat lifts accommodate vessels up to 45 feet, while wet slips accommodate up to 85 feet with an 8-foot maximum draft. Additional offerings include boat and trailer storage, pump-out service, boat sales and service, a marina store, concierge services, and other modern amenities designed to elevate the boater experience.

Integra Investments acquired the property, formerly Four Fish Inn and Marina, in 2022 alongside investment partner BLG Capital Advisors, the company notes.

Located at 2225 NE Indian River Drive on the Intracoastal Waterway at channel marker 222, Four Fish Yacht Club and Marina serves both local and transient boaters between Fort Pierce and West Palm Beach. The marina is also home to Legacy Marine and Pocket Yacht Company, providing on-site brokerage, sales and boating services.

The American Boat & Yacht Council( ABYC) has made its existing Introduction to Boatyard Basics online course available in Spanish, expanding access to foundational training for Spanish-speaking boatyard employees.

The Spanish-language course,“ Introducción a los conceptos básicos de los astilleros,” prepares newcomers for general labor positions by covering common boatyard tasks, workplace safety and environmentally responsible practices, the organization notes. It also introduces specialized roles employees may pursue as they gain experience.

As the marine industry faces a growing shortage of skilled technicians, ABYC says this cost-effective resource will help employers train and welcome more Spanish-speaking talent while supporting long-term workforce development.

Marine electric propulsion manufacturer ePropulsion Americas has appointed Yann Herriot as Global OEM Director.

Herriot brings extensive international experience spanning electrical engineering, energy management, boatbuilding and marine technical services, according to the company. His career has focused on power systems, energy storage and renewable technologies, giving him a strong technical foundation for supporting shipyards as they integrate electric propulsion and increasingly sophisticated onboard energy systems.

Seven years ago, Herriot founded Orphie Boats, an electric boat start-up created to develop a complete solution for cleaner day boating, according to the company. Through the business, he gained first-hand experience across the complete boat development process, from design and construction to the installation and integration of electric propulsion systems.

His subsequent work has included installing and supporting a wide range of electric propulsion technologies on both new-build and refit projects, according to the company, before managing a complete technical service operation within a marine group selling and chartering major boat brands including Bali and Dufour.

In his new role at ePropulsion, Herriot will work closely with boatbuilder dealer networks, according to the company, helping to demonstrate the benefits of ePropulsion technology in the field while strengthening the connection between manufacturers, dealers and end users.

“ My original motivation for starting my own company seven years ago was to contribute to the transition of leisure boating towards cleaner propulsion and more sustainable practices,” said Herriot in a news release.“ After building, refitting and servicing many different boats, I came to recognize that ePropulsion combines the technology, production capability and global service infrastructure needed to make a significant impact on the industry. New Pacific Industrial( NP) has launched its first shipbuilding program with the construction of two 122-foot American Class tugboats for American Marine Corporation( AMC) at its Vancouver, Washington waterfront facility. Designed by naval architecture and marine engineering firm Glosten, the vessels also represent American Marine’ s first new tugboat construction as the company marks 50 years in business.

“ As American Marine celebrates half a century in business, our first new-build tug represents an important milestone and an investment in the next generation of our operations,” said Bob Shahnazarian, President and owner of American Marine Corporation, in a news release.“ We wanted a team that could take our operational requirements and carry them all the way through design, construction, and delivery. New Pacific and Glosten give us that continuity throughout the program.”

“ New Pacific was founded around a straightforward idea: complex projects need experienced people, capable infrastructure, and an operating model that works for the customer,” added Joe Corvelli, CEO of New Pacific.“ Starting with a new-build program alongside American Marine and Glosten puts that model into practice from day one.”

New Pacific’ s first build carries forward the shipbuilding legacy of its Vancouver waterfront. Once part of the historic Kaiser Shipyards, where vessels were constructed during World War II, the site now supports modern shipbuilding and heavy industrial work along the Columbia River, according to the company.

Founded by CEO Joe Corvelli, COO Chris Palmer and CCO Peter Roney, New Pacific’ s founders bring more than 90 years of combined leadership experience spanning commercial and government shipbuilding, marine operations, advanced manufacturing and complex programs.

“ We’ re building on a site with a long industrial history, but the objective isn’ t to recreate the past. It’ s to expand the capability the Pacific region needs today,” said Chris Palmer, COO of New Pacific, in the release.“ Our role is to build on the region’ s strong workforce and supplier ecosystem and put serious industrial work back through this waterfront.”

New Pacific’ s 180,000 + square-foot Columbia River facility supports shipbuilding, heavy industrial fabrication and integrated program delivery with high-bay fabrication space, heavy lift crane capacity, outdoor laydown areas and rail and barge access for large-scale maritime programs, according to the company.

“ This project reflects how we want to work with our customers and industry partners: accessible, transparent, and flexible, with the experience and resources to build the right solution around the requirements of each program,” said Peter Roney, CCO of New Pacific, in the release.

The 499 GT(< 200 GRT) tugs will measure 122 × 37 feet overall, with an operating draft of 17 feet and a usable fuel capacity of 130,000 gallons. Delivery of the first vessel is expected in Q3 2028.
