Did you have any key mentors or influences in your career ? Paul Ray , Mike Lindberg , Wayne Bennett , and Ian Hawkin have all played a pivotal role in shaping my development as a leader and fueling my passion for the marine industry . I ’ m grateful for the opportunity to have learned from and worked alongside such experienced mentors . Each of them saw potential in me , and I aspire to offer the same level of guidance and support to future members of Ilmor . As a young professional , what are the biggest challenges you ’ ve faced in the marine industry and how did you overcome them ? Managing a world-class service team across multiple geographical locations while trying to elevate the company image and experience with the customers , OEMs and dealers . I tackled this challenge by fostering strong relationships within the team , enabling me to recognize and leverage their strengths . Additionally , I collaborated closely with our OEMs to gain insights and develop tailored solutions that enhanced the product experience . How do you set goals for yourself and set yourself up for success ? I set goals by first understanding the scope of the project , then establishing key milestones and a clear deadline to ensure focused progress and timely completion . I set myself up for success by celebrating small wins along the way . It boosts morale and keeps me driven to tackle the next challenge . What boat did you learn to boat on ? An F29 DCB , capable of running 90 mph all day and 130 mph top speed . What are some of your favorite non-boating hobbies ? Being a dad to my two amazing kids , cooking , preferably with a BBQ , and downhill skiing .

What first drew you to the marine industry ? I was originally with a Fortune-50 company with locations across the world , a small cog in a large machine . I wanted to see if I could make a difference at a smaller company . I was a lifelong boater with a passion for the lifestyle , so I sought out and accepted an accounting job with Everglades Boats . I wanted to see what it was like working for a manufacturer building a complex boat that had a million pieces to it . I love manufacturing and small business , and my thinking was if I can combine these two interests in a career , it would be fun . I ’ ve never looked back ! Did you have any key mentors or influences in your career ? I have a network of people I work with as a sounding board or to rally with on big plays . John Roehll with KA Transportation Services has been a tremendous mentor for sales and business in general , and Russell Baqir with Northpoint is an industry leader who has a pulse on how the business world works . These two have been major mentors I can rely on for ideas and who have been influential in my successes . As a young professional , what are the biggest challenges you ’ ve faced in the marine industry and how did you overcome them ? Age has been the biggest challenge .
