EDITOR ' S NOTE

The past few months have been a whirlwind of events and new product releases . And as the holiday season draws closer , news on more events and special winter releases are sent to my inbox every day .

One particularly interesting event I recently attended was the launch event for Tom Holland ’ s new alcohol-free beer , Bero . Nestled into a quaint restaurant in New York City called The Corner Store , the personal launch party featured Tom himself , along with other members of his family , while a select number of guests enjoyed Tom ’ s new beverage line .

Debuting three different zero proof offerings , Kingston Golden Pils , Edge Hill Hazy IPA and Noon Wheat , every flavor was delicious . And I ’ m not just saying that because they ’ re the brainchild of Tom Holland . There was no weird chemical after taste as most alcohol-free beers have , and all three brews tasted exactly like beer .

Personally , Noon Wheat was my favorite . It ’ s light and refreshing with a citrus finish � just how I like my beer . What ’ s even better ? This brew is named after Tom ’ s beloved schnauzer that he shares with Zendaya , Noon .

Another industry event I attended a few months ago was NBWA ’ s 87th Annual Convention and Product Showcase . Taking place in sunny San Diego , the three-day event was jam packed with educational seminars , networking events and hundreds of different products .

You can find more details on NBWA ’ s event later in this issue , but expect a lot of discussions on cannabis-infused beverages and their entrance into the market , along with beer and spirits ’ downhill continuation of sales . It ’ s not all doom and gloom � the industry is still grappling with consumers continuing to tighten their wallets and inflation � but many suppliers are looking for ways to pivot and recover from lost sales .
