by KRYSTINA SKIBO
Due to myriad regulatory inconsistencies from Jersey City officials, The Other Side Dispensary( TOSD), a disabled veteran-founded and equity-aligned cannabis business, closed its doors in early 2026. But now, thanks to the help from New Jersey state, TOSD reopened its doors on Feb. 10, allowing the dispensary to continue selling to adults within the local community.
“ We are incredibly grateful for the advocates at the state level and for the partners who reached out with creative solutions and support when it mattered most,” TOSD said in a Facebook post.“ Most importantly, thank you to the vendors and partners who showed flexibility, patience and belief in us. That kind of collaboration speaks to the truth of this industry. We don’ t survive alone; we must survive and build together.”
MUNICIPAL BREAKDOWN
According to TOSD, the dispensary had faced more than three years of navigating local approvals, delayed ordinances, stalled oversight boards and escalating fees,
After closing down for a few weeks ealier this year, The Other Side Dispensary is now open to the public once again. www. beveragewholesaler. com Summer 2026 • Bevearge Wholesaler 21
