SPECIAL FEATURE 32 November/December Landscape and Irrigation www.landscapeirrigation.com Exmark's patented RED Technology. Exmark engineers placed the engine and radiator lower in the Lazer Z Diesel chassis, lowering the machine's center of gravity for improved handling and increased stability. The design couples the engine directly to the transmission, eliminating drive belts for a more robust, efficient powertrain. The all-new UltraCut Flex Wing cutting deck is a rear-discharge design featuring a 48-inch center deck with two 24- inch wing decks, for a 96-inch total cutting width. The deck uses four matching blades to deliver consistent cut quality across the entire 8-foot width of cut. The configuration is also designed to deliver unmatched performance when equipped with the optional Mulch Kit accessory. Both wing decks can flex up to 20-degrees up and 15-degrees down to minimize scalping and maximize productivity on uneven terrain. The ability to hydraulically raise or lower the wing decks eases loading and unloading. Raising the wing decks also reduces the required trailering space, allowing the 96-inch Lazer Z Diesel to fit on most trailers designed for 72-inch zero-turn riders. In addition to the large 96-inch UltraCut Flex Wing cutting deck, the Lazer Z Diesel is also available with Exmark's exclusive 60- or 72-inch UltraCut cutting decks in side- or rear-discharge configurations. JCB unveils 210T and 215T compact track loaders JCB launched its 210T and 215T compact track loaders, offer ing the power and performance of large-platform compact track loaders in small-platform, easily towable machines weighing less than 10,000 pounds. The 210T and the 215T are powered by the 74-hp. JCB Diesel by Kohler engine, requiring no DPF and no DEF. The radial lift 210T model has a rated operating capacity (ROC) of 1,900 pounds at 35 percent tipping load and 2,650 pounds at 50 percent tipping load. The 215T vertical lift model has an ROC of 2,100 pounds at 35 percent tipping load and 3,000 pounds at 50 percent tipping load. The ROC of both models can be increased with an optional bolt-on chassis counterweight package, and both are capable of operating high-flow attachments up to 30 gallons per minute. Featuring JCB's single-boom design, the 210T and 215T provide operators with 60 percent better visibility than conventional twin-arm skid-steer designs, for safer operation and easier changing of attachments and placing or loading material. Entry to the cab, which is up to 46 percent larger than comparably sized compact track loaders, is also simplified and made safer by a wide-opening side door. Vermeer now offers the BC1800XL brush chipper with gas engine Vermeer introduced the BC1800XL gas brush chipper — its largest, most powerful gas model to date. The BC1800XL gas chipper is outfitted with a 165-hp. PSI 5.7L gas engine that can handle logs up to 18 inches in diameter. The onboard Vermeer SmartFeed control system helps maximize the chipper's performance by monitoring engine rpm, sensing jams and automatically stopping or reversing the rollers. The unit's vertical feed rollers with helical cleats are designed to hold material firmly, to minimize vibration, shock and structural loading to the rear of the machine. Altoz introduces TRX accessories for year-round utility Altoz introduced new accessories for its TRX tracked zero-turn mower to expand its use to year round. The Altoz utility plow is ideal for moving snow or light-density aggregate, as well as a spreader for easy application of light rock salt, grit, fertilizers and other fine materials. The utility plow features durable all-steel construction; 7-gauge trip frame superstructure; adjustable 72-inch moldboard with 48-inch trip frame; responsive, quick hydraulic speed for lift, lower and angle control; steering-control-mounted controller with illuminated buttons for one-hand control; fully enclosed, sealed hydraulic operating system; and a custom 2-inch receiver hitch for easy mounting. The spreader features 3.0-cubic- feet/180-pound capacity; 10-inch steel spinner with spreading width adjustable from 4 to 20 feet; high-density UV-protected polymer; modular steel frame and a 12-volt DC/7- to 10-amp direct-drive motor. Grasshopper unveils 900 Series MaxTorque Diesel model The Grasshopper Company unveiled the new 900D 1.3L MaxTorque diesel mower. This 900 Series model is the most powerful diesel mower in the company's product lineup. The Tier 4 Final-compliant 1.3L, 3-cylinder, liquid- cooled diesel engine delivers high-torque power while producing fewer emissions than gasoline or propane, thanks to its advanced combustion system that requires no diesel exhaust emissions systems to maintain. The fuel-efficient engine also cuts fuel consumption by almost half. The torque of the diesel engine allows for uninterrupted mowing — even in lush, overgrown conditions — with the choice of either a 61-inch or 72-inch DuraMax deck powered with a splined PTO shaft. Both decks are equipped with Grasshopper's PowerFold electric deck lift, which rotates the deck to a near vertical position with the flip of a switch for easy underside cleaning and blade replacement. This same feature also adjusts the deck cutting height. For more news, photos and new products from GIE+EXPO, visit www.landscapeirrigation.com. continued from page 15
