"For 2018 we believe we've done that, with an array of improve- ments and industry partnerships that we're confident will keep the Cobra Moto brand again atop local, regional and national ama- teur motocross podiums." NEW BMW DEALERSHIP OPENS IN FLORIDA BMW Motorcyles of Palm Bay, located on Florida's Space Coast, has opened its 12,000-square-foot dealership. Dealer principal Felipe Ozi and general manager David Quinn head the BMW- exclusive location. "Both Felipe and David have extensive experience with the BMW brand and BMW motorcycles," said Michael Peyton, vice president of BMW Motorrad North Amer- ica. "They and their knowledgeable, friendly staff will be a welcome addition to the riding community throughout Florida's Space and Treasure Coasts. We are delighted to have them join our growing dealer network." "BMW is a premium brand offering a premium level of customer service. Being a stand-alone exclusive BMW dealer allows us to maintain that standard of excellence and gives customers added confidence," said Quinn, whose 35-year career in the motorcycle industry includes roles at BMW of Manhattan and, most recently, BMW Motorcycles of Jacksonville. BMW Motorcycles of Palm Bay will be the third BMW retail facility (and the first in the U.S.) for Ozi, who owns two highly success- ful BMW motorcycle dealerships in Brazil. "When the opportunity to open a BMW motorcycle dealership in Palm Bay presented itself, Felipe jumped at the opportunity," said Quinn. "This facility is large enough to showcase every model and feature much of our apparel. Our service area is equipped with multiple bays, includ- ing a green lane for quick, no-wait service. We look forward to forming a Space Coast BMW riders club and hosting bike nights every month with a variety of vendors." PSB DIGEST CONTINUED FROM PAGE 39 DIGEST TEAM RZR'S MATLOCK TAKES FIRST WIN AT VEGAS TO RENO Polaris RZR demonstrated why it is the recre- ational side-by-side leader and overwhelming choice of desert racers by representing 60 percent of the field at Best in the Desert's (BITD) General Tire "Vegas to Reno" pre- sented by Fox. When the dust settled, Team RZR's Kristen Matlock had her first Pro Pro- duction win in her No. 1954 RZR XP4 1000. "I did it! I got my first win in the UTV Pro Production class," said Matlock. "I can't stop smiling; I'm so pumped right now!" Matlock, a role model for female off-road enthusiasts, piloted her RZR through 540 miles of harsh desert terrain and extreme heat, which claimed nearly half of the UTVs entered. RZRs finished one-two in the Pro Production class with seven of the top-10 finishers racing them. Additionally, professional action sports legend and stunt performer Travis Pastrana raced the Polaris RZR Star Car, a 2017 Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo EPS, in the Pro Production class but suffered an aftermarket suspension failure, and after making it to Pit 11, was not able to finish the race. "I drove the Polaris RZR Star Car for 300 miles of some of the craziest desert terrain in the Vegas to Reno, and it held up to an amazing amount of abuse," said Pastrana. "There were jumps and rocks and silt and every other kind of obstacle out there, and the UTV handled it all." In the Turbo class, Sven Ellstrom, along- side Mark Holz, took a second-place finish in a RZR XP Turbo EPS.
