Here's an alphabetical look at the trainers you'll be learning from: PAULA CROSBIE TRAINING DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AND INTERNAL TRAINER, CDK GLOBAL RECREATION Paula Crosbie is the training development manager and internal trainer for CDK Global Recreation's associates. She develops online training and documents to better help CDK's dealers and employees. She is also a senior consultant for CDK Global Recreation and is in her 15th year with the company. Over the years, Crosbie has written many articles and have spoken in front over hundreds of people. She's a regular columnist for Power- sports Business. SAM DANTZLER PRESIDENT, SAM'S POWERSPORTS GARAGE | GARAGE COMPOSITES S a m D a n t z l e r b e g a n working in retail at a sporting goods store as a kid, selling motorcy- cles in college and eventually found his way into a job as a retail sales trainer. Ed Lemco brought him on at LEMCO in 2000. Dantzler became the director of training for LEMCO in 2003. With financing support from Mark Tkach and Bill Coulter (RideNow), the three bought the company from Lemco in 2005 and named Dantzler as the new CEO. The name changed one year later to RPM Group. Dant- zler then created an exclusive program with Michael Lock and Ducati. Assurant then pur- chased RPMG in 2007 in an attempt to launch their products through RPMG venues. When Assurant exited the 20 club business in 2009, leaving Dantzler a free agent, he decided to go independent. Since that time, he's done work with Triumph, Harley-Davidson, Arc- tic Cat and Polaris, as well as hundreds of independent dealers. Dantzler then launched Sam's Powersports Garage in 2012. In 2015, Dantzler took another step forward with the launch of Garage Composites, an intensive, year-long sales and management training initiative for dealership personnel. Dantzler is presenting at the Powersports DEALER Semi- nars @ AIMExpo for the fifth time. ROB GREENWALD PRESIDENT, POWERSPORT SOLUTION Rob Greenwald started in sales and F&I in 1989. He worked as a direc- tor and record-breaking F & I p r o d u c e r . H e ' s a cum laude graduate from Tulane Univer- sity with degrees in business/entrepreneur- ial management and behavioral psychology, which underlies the core of his training and systems he teaches to dealers. He started teach- ing powersports F&I in 1994. A big caveat to his company, PowerSport Solution, is that he only works within the powersports industry. Greenwald is a 10-time national champion pro- fessional PWC racer for Factory Yamaha and was also an accomplished road racer and rode motocross bikes since a very early age. Green- wald has worked with OEMs, product compa- nies and extensively at the dealer level. He has worked with several aftermarket companies and developed and innovated F&I products for powersports that cater to the powersports enthusiast. PowerSport Solution works in F&I and sales and hosts schools held in the Atlanta area. The company also does on-site in-house training and development. Greenwald is pre- senting at the Powersports DEALER Seminars @ AIMExpo for the third time. JEFF HIEBER FACILITATOR/ TRAINER, SPADER BUSINESS MANAGEMENT Jeff Hieber is a facilitator/ trainer at Spader Business Management. He has previous experience as a dealership general manager and parts manager. JIM JABAAY VICE PRESIDENT, LOTVANTAGE Jim Jabaay is the vice president of LotVan- tage, a digital marketing company for dealerships. Jabaay's expertise is in implementing business strategies that inspire rapid company growth. He is presenting at the Powersports DEALER Seminars @ AIMExpo for the second time. JEREMY JACOBS ASSOCIATE, DHG DEALERSHIPS Jeremy Jacobs joined DHG Dealerships with a wealth of background in the powersports indus- try, having worked for Harley-Davidson deal- erships for 10 years. During his tenure with H-D, Jacobs accumulated a significant amount of motorcycle dealership experience from a variety of angles. In addition to serving as war- ranty administrator for all 10 years, he also took on the additional role of service manager for eight years, while he was simultaneously responsible for certain aspects of service opera- tions in three locations. He worked closely with parts managers to create a more efficient parts/ service transaction strategy, was hands-on in parts ordering and service payroll/time track- ing, and implemented many new practices into the service department that helped increase the customer experience. Jacobs brings unique and valuable powersports insight to the DHG Dealerships team. STEVE JONES PRESIDENT, SJ CONSULTING, INC. Steve Jones has worked i n t h e p o w e r s p o r t s industry for more than 30 years. He started in d e a l e r s h i p s , w h e r e he held management positions in service, parts and sales. He also enjoyed racing motorcycles for more than 20 years. After leaving his dealership positions, he became a regional technical advisor for American Suzuki. He was responsible for train- ing, customer relations, warranty and prod- uct research, and helped develop the Suzuki Service Management program. He spent the next 15 years as a district manager for Polaris Industries, where he helped dealers improve dealership operations and sales growth through effective business plans. In 2003, he became a business consultant, GM, projects man- ager, instructional designer and facilitator for Gart Sutton & Associates. Earlier this year, he founded SJ Consulting, Inc. He has helped develop effective training programs and mate- rials for most of the major manufacturers. An experienced and dynamic speaker, Jones has conducted seminars and workshops on a vari- ety of subjects for dealers and OE clients. He's a regular columnist for Powersports Business. He is presenting at the Powersports DEALER Seminars @ AIMExpo for the fifth time. LIZ KEENER SENIOR EDITOR, POWERSPORTS BUSINESS Liz Keener came to the Powersports Business team as associate editor in 2010 and has since been promoted twice, being named senior editor in February. She contributes to the PSB magazine, website, e-newsletters and blogs. Keener also leads the brand's social media efforts and coordinates the production of the annual Powersports Business Market Data Book. Keener also recently pur- chased her first motorcycle. She is representing PSB at the Powersports DEALER Seminars @ AIMExpo for the fifth time. DAVE MCMAHON EDITOR IN CHIEF, POWERSPORTS BUSINESS Dave McMahon was named editor in chief of Powersports Business in 2012. He manages and facilitates the training session speakers for the Powersports DEALER Seminars @ AIMExpo, as well editorial content for the PSB media platforms, including the magazine, website, e-newsletters and webinars. In 2016, Powersports Business was recognized as a Final 4 candidate for the 62nd annual Jesse H. Neal Award, the most prestigious honor in the field of specialized journalism, in the category of Best Media Brand (Overall Edito- rial Excellence). McMahon is presenting at the Powersports DEALER Seminars @ AIMExpo for the fifth time. MIKE SMITH PRESIDENT AND CEO, ODES UTVS Mike Smith, president and CEO of ODES UTVS, has owned multiple retail powers- ports dealerships during his 14 years of being professionally involved in the industry. He concentrated on marketing and SEO manage- ment while at the University of California San Diego and has worked with companies such as Google and Yahoo/Bing for more than 16 years. Mike has performed SEO, website and mar- keting consulting for Fortune 500 companies, the government and hundreds of small business owners over the last decade. DAVID SPADER LEADERSHIP AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST, SPADER BUSINESS MANAGEMENT David Spader has 15 years of experience pro- viding a variety of services to dealerships. He specializes in leadership development, deal- ership culture and strategic planning. He is the primary instructor for Spader Business Management's growing suite of Leadership Development Programs. In addition, he pro- vides onsite consulting, coaching and strate- gic services. His other areas of focus include organizational culture initiatives, succession planning, key hire interviewing and assessment and team development. ERIK STEPHENS FOUNDER AND CEO, TWISTED THROTTLE Erik Stephens is the founder and CEO of Twisted Throttle, a man- ufacturer and distributor of parts, gear and acces- sories for adventure riding, sport bikes and sport touring bikes. Founded in 2002 at the beginning of the adventure riding movement, Twisted Throttle now has distribution opera- tions in both the USA and Canada, designs and produces several house brands of adven- ture accessories, employs more than 40 staff members and participates in a number of dual sport events annually. Twisted Throttle's Fac- tory Store in Exeter, Rhode Island, serves as a design lab for creating the perfect adventure riding destination, including an on-site camp- ground, learning center, service shop, retail store, prototyping lab and community events. Stephens's past business lives include run- ning a three-crew house painting company at the age of 18, moonlighting as a trombone player in Philadelphia-area rock bands during college and working as a consulting engineer in the environmental industry. After being nicknamed "The Terminator" for wearing race leathers to a law firm board meeting, Ste- phens traded in his corporate office chair for an adventure bike when his side gig of organizing group buys of V-Strom luggage turned into a full-time distribution business.
